<description>Many times, I have also seen that there has been a large drop in the rate of leg and foot amputations among Diabetics aged 40 and over with diagnosed diabetes. In America this number of more. Most of the diabetics have this problem and for that special prevention is always needed for diabetic foot. Now, diabetic foot care shoes are also available in the market.

		<description>Shirley,

We apologize that your recent experience at Missouri Baptist was not an excellent one.

Our goal is focused on always providing an excellent experience for our patients and their families. That’s why we are working hard to open 64 private rooms in the new West Pavilion in August of 2013. This will allow us to reduce the amount of semi-private rooms throughout the hospital.

Additionally, with the opening of a 23-hour surgical stay unit opening around this same date, we will be able to observe patients in that unit as opposed to taking them to patient floors. This will help reduce the number of patients on other floors as well.

We were delighted to hear that the staff handling your care during your recent stay was excellent.

Sincerely,

Susan Smith

		<description>Hi Em,

Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your experience. It is our goal to provide exceptional care for all our patients and we appreciate your feedback.

We commend you on taking an active role in partnering with your care team. Taking ownership of your health is something we encourage our patients to do, and it would seem you are doing an outstanding job in that role.

At Barnes-Jewish Hospital, we have patient liaisons who work in the Office of Patient &amp; Family Affairs. They are here to listen and respond to questions, comments or concerns about your hospital stay.

I would encourage you to contact one of our patient liaisons at 314-362-5196. By doing so, it helps us to better understand how your experience fell short so that we can make sure we take steps to improve the patient experience for you, and for everyone.

Sincerely,
Kristin Hall

		<description>Ms Hall
I&#039;m afraid you miss my point. An individual can call the liaison for a specific issue (eg the recent bill I received). But I&#039;m suggesting you investigate a better billing system that provides patients critical information. You could even have it available online. If it still isn&#039;t clear what I&#039;m suggesting please compare a bill from the BJC hospital (bad) to one from the Wash Univ Physicians system (good example). Hopefully these are the type of things Make Medicine Better can act on</description>
