Chiropractic Help
I’ve been having trouble with chronic headaches and have been told by numerous people (including my primary) that I need to see a chiropractor. The problem is, our BJC employee insurance doesn’t cover this. What is reccomended? What have others done when they need adjustments and chiropractic care?

If you want to try chiropractic care then I recommend that you pay out of pocket. Ask friends or family for a recommendation. An affordable and reputable option is to go to a Logan Chiropractic Health Care Center. Locations are listed online. The initial consultation is $75 and includes exam, labs, x-rays. Subsequent care is $22. I am not aware that these centers offer accupuncture as many private chiropractic offices do so this might be a separate exploration for you. An affordable resource is Community Accupuncture 772-4325 which offers treatments on a sliding scale $15-30. I wish you success on your healing journey. Chronic headaches are a challenge.

I used a chiropractor for a few weeks for some back pain I was having. I was skeptical and I told the chiropractor that I was. He explained everything to me and was very honest and down to earth. After just 4 visits my pain was gone. I was shocked. It shouldn't be a life long treatment sort of thing. If they tell you that you'll need to come all the time, for a long time, they might not be good. Good luck!
