Dr. Uppaluri is a brilliant surgeon

Dr. Ravi Uppaluri, surgial nurse Linda Zilch, along with the entire surgical team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Center for Advanced medicine and Karen Wheat from his office are all excellent examples of BJC ‘making medicine better.’ Dr. Uppaluri, from the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine, and his team performed surgery on me last week to remove a malignant melanoma tumor from the top of my head and 4 lymph nodes from my neck. Thanks to his advanced surgical skills and know-how I experienced no disfigurement and am on the road to recovery and being cancer free. St. Louis is very lucky to have this brilliant surgeon in our community.
We are also very lucky to have Barnes-Jewish Hospital, as well as BJC’s Christian Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital – all excellent facilities where I and my family members have received outstanding care over the past several years. BJC continues to raise the bar on the standard of care and for that we should all be grateful.
