EARTH FRIENDLY

I have often wondered how many plastic Laundry Bags the BJC Organization uses every year and the closest approximation I can see is that it is in the 10′s of thousands. The number has a dollar amount attatched to it for the cost of the bags but has a cost to the Planet as well as Plastic is not Bio-degradable. If A pillow case (used on patient beds) were doubled in size, it would fit all the linen (dirty) on the rest of the bed, including the fitted sheet, flat sheet, pad and blanket. Our dirty Laundry could be "packaged" cheaper and in an Earth Friendly manner. The larger pillow itself would be more comfortable as I myself sleep at home with an oversized pillow and it doubles as a body pillow. Talk about comfort, they are available at the Bedroom Store in St. Louis. Also on a large scale, for Society itself, all Hospitals Nationwide and Hotel, Motel Chains could benefit as well.
It could be a profitable Business in its own right. BJC needs a "for profit" arm to the Organization anyway. How about rolling the dice guys.

Cloth (washable) linen bags is a wonderful idea. I've actually seen them used in a few outpatient facilities. If one organization uses that many plastic bags just for linen purposes, multiply that by who-knows-how-much to get a national average … global average … My point is I agree 100% with the usage of cloth linen bags. What do we do to continue the conversion?

Pardon my ignorance here. What is "Vision"?

A Vision is someone who can bring a thought into reality. There could be reasons not to switch from Plastic Bags (an Oil based product) to cloth. Someones job may depend on it.
