FUTURE HEALTH CARE

None of the proposals talked about contain any "Bricks and Mortar" to actually provide services to the Public. California has closed 5 Hospitals in as many years, East St. Louis doesn’t have a Hospital any longer, not even a good sized Clinic. To me, I wish the Private Hospitals would stay Private as an individual person will have a better chance of getting quality Healthcare. As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The job of the private Hospitals should be to bring costs down to an affordable level so the Private Insurance Companies aren’t skittish about paying a bill. Technology has come a very long way and will continue to do so, this should be our number one goal. I would like to see the Government build "Super Clinics" in areas that really truly need them, which include Cancer Infusions and Dialysis services as well as General Clinic Services. Think about how very few New Private Hospitals have been built in the last decade Nationwide. Why? No money! I used to work for a Catholic Hoapital and knew the Head Sister well. Her favorite comment was, "No Margin, No Mission" in laymans terms it means, "No Money, No Hospital."
