Make patients happy by….

…..discharging them within 20 minutes of the time the doctor says “You can go home today”. Empower the patient to let their nurse know the doctor has discharged them….otherwise the order may be buried for hours.

All the good things that happened during the stay can be obliterated by a 3 hr wait for paperwork to process after hearing those wonderful words, ” I think you’re well enough to go home”!
