What best describes your feelings about health care reform not passing?

I am so amazed that so many people are so uninformed that they are relieved by the fact that health care reform did not pass. In my mind, we must first overcome the the barrier for access to care which means universal health care. By definition more people covered will mean more costs. When we have everybody covered, then the solution to cost cutting should become more apparent. I guess people think when Thomas Jefferson wrote "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," they figured the right to life isn't that important.

I have to wonder what people are thinking when they refuse to acknowledge the fact that healthcare is an inalienable right for all people! We must wake up and recognize that the fat cat insurance companies are the are at the root of what is wrong with healthcare. Personally, I am sick and tired of insurance companies running and ruining our lives!

For people employed with healthcare insurance and thinking, I'm fine, let's do nothing, I implore you do realize there are no crystal balls. No idea when a car crash or debilitating illness will strike you or someone you love, and rock your world, possibly leaving you unemployed w/o insurance. It happens. We also need to learn from other countries not to reinvent the wheel. This is a great article on the cost comparison between countries. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=110997469

It PASSED!

What PASSED was completely stripped down, humiliating and of practically no help to those who truly need such a service. It, in no way, represented what Obama was trying to implement for each and every person in the United States who have a RIGHT to be cared for medically and to live a life as free of illness as possible!
