Do you know someone who is already making a difference in the lives of others by doing their part to make medicine better? Nominate them as a Hero. Heroes might be health care professionals, or members of the community. They might be well-known leaders, or someone who quietly leads by example. Nominate the person you feel is making the world of medicine a better place to be.
This person is a hero because:
Darrell is a shift supervisor in the Department of Public Safety but always puts others first- from the newest officer to the person who is staying in an RV on the campus because their loved one is in the hospital. He gets them water, food and whatever else they need to be comfortable during their sometimes extremely long stay. He furnishes a mobile vehicle to pick them up and take them on campus for treatments and in the winter time he also has the snow removed from the area for not only their safety but their convienence. Darrell leads his staff by example and he only asks them to do what he would do himself. So, if you lead by example, what a perfect example we have of a hero at Barnes Hospital.
Darrell's Story:
Darrell leads by example and is always there for his staff and the customers. He never puts himself first. He makes things happen for the hospital that make him an everyday hero. Besides his years of nothing but dedicated service as an officer he now handles alot of thing for the customer on a day to day basis.
