Sally's Story:
Sally is an Activity Therapist for Mental Health services at BJH. She used to work in the Day Hospital before it closed 2 years ago. I have known Sally for about 10 years. She has helped me to be able to stand on my own two legs and show me how to live my life in a positive way. In the time that I have had the pleasure of knowing Sally I have seen her help mentally ill patients find community resources to aid them in being productive members of their communities and to be able to live on their own. She has helped people get scholarships to local YMCA's or find free support groups to attend so they can better structure their days and not stay depressed. Sally takes an interest in her patients' lives outside of why they are in the hospital and helps them get back into what they enjoy or helps them find new activities or intrests to get involved in. She is a great hero in the Behavioral Health department.
