Dr. Michael Railey’s compassionate dedication to improving the health of the underserved in our community makes him the perfect candidate for a HEROES award. As Medical Director of BJC HealthCare’s "Healthy Mind, Body, Spirit" program, Dr. Railey provides medical direction for community events designed to provide needed health information and services to neighborhoods with documented health disparities. A conversation with Dr. Railey caused one client to seek medical treatment for symptoms that revealed a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Dr. Railey’s health Seminar: "The Spirit of Aging: Learning How To Make the Most of The Latter Years of Life," have been heard by over 500 eager listeners. As an avid supporter and participant in the Senior Olympics Dr. Railey also provides clients with effective strategies for a healthy life after the age of 50.
