Thanks to his dedication to medicine, my mom is alive. I am sure his family knows what a hero he is. But now the Humes and Valestin families know first hand what a hero he is. The word hero has different meanings to different people. To me, it is the willingness and desire to help save the lives of people, some he will never know other than as a patient. I am thankful that he is using the gift God gave him and he is sharing that gift regardless of who you are. Thank you Dr. Kouchoukas for the gift of my mother's life.

I also agree that Dr Kouchoukas is a hero. He also performed surgery on my father 12 years ago. He was wonderful to my dad. This past year my father passed away from lung cancer and i still remember thinking back over my dads life, that Dr Kouchoukas bought my dad 11 more years of life with has family. He will always be my hero
