Thoughts to Improve Your Wellness

Obtaining a high level of wellness isn’t about what you did today but by the compounding interest of small, healthy investments made over a period of time. It matters not if you exercise for 90 min today and do nothing the rest of the week the same as if you had an apple for snack this morning and a twinkie the other six days. Shoot for small opportunities/actions throughout the day that over time will positively impact your health!

Although a delayed response to this post, I wanted to make clear that even the most avid of healthy lifestyles is tempted to slip at times. This was me yesterday morning, when I woke up, rolled toward the mirror and noticed the all-to-familiar “pillow face”. You know the one, where creases are all over you because of how hard you slept that night?! It made it that much more difficult to want to get up, but a quick self talk and I was in the fresh fall air for a walk.

The small push I gave myself that morning jump-started me for everything I would encounter throughout the day, and in fact once I was outside, the walk turned into a jog! What a great time to be active!!
