What a wonderfully generous gift to the children of our community. Thanks for addressing one of the impediments to a student's success. Hats off to Bill and the Clarkson EyeCare Foundation.

Today, July 1, 2010 the hard work of Mayor Linda Goldstein and elected leadership of the City of Clayton bore fruit and I look forward to visiting all of the smoke-free restaurants in Clayton.

I have been a resistant diabetic for 39 years. I have encountered several Physicians. From New York to St.Louis no physician has displayed the level of genuine care and concern that Dr. Rofougaran has for me and my family. In fact, while hospitalized @ St. Marys with my 3rd heart failure I almost gave up hope. I truely wanted to just give up. Dr.Rofougaran was key in my reco...

I originally went to Dr. Rofougaran for a thyroid problem and I am a type II diabetic. Our daughter is a nurse at a hospital where he is on staff. She knew we felt that no progress had been made in 6 months with the Dr. I was seeing concerning my thyroid. She checked with several staff people and came back with Dr.Rofougaran's name. She told us he was very well t...

In January I was hospitalized for a pulmonary issue however during my 8 day stay was referred to Dr. Rofougaran for my diabetes that had been out of control for years. I cannot say enough about this doctor and what he has done for me! My A1C is now in check, I've lost weight and have a new attitude about my health. When I learned that Mayor Linda Goldstein was leading an effort in the City of Clayton to enact smoke-free air legislation I was surprised and delighted. Clayton is an influential city and this bill clearly helped provide impetus for parallel efforts in both the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County. The unanimous approval by Clayton of a strong bill was important in the ev...

When Councilwoman Barbara Fraser defeated former Councilman Kurt Odenwald in an election two years ago I thought all smoke-free air progress by St. Louis County Council had come to an end. I was delighted to find that Barbara was every bit as much a fighter for this issue as Kurt had been. And unlike Kurt, who tried unsuccessfully in both 2005 and 2006, she succeeded in pull...

I'm impressed by Alderwoman Lyda Krewson's dedication and determination in the face of long odds. She accomplished something I thought was hopeless even as recently as just a few weeks ago when it seemed like it would either be stalled indefinitely in committee or defeated by the full Board of Aldermen. Kudos to you Lyda! You deserve all the plaudits you get.

Alderwoman Krewson navigated very challenging waters when she dove into the politics of a smoke free St. Louis. Her political courage was amply rewarded when the Health Committee advanced the bill and her fellow alderman passed the ordinance on a 20-7 vote. With the overwhelming citizen vote on Nov 3 in St. Louis County, the region is advancing towards cleaner air. Thank yo...
